EASTER HILARITY!

For Easter, we decided to take the whole family to the temple to see the Easter Pageant. A boat load of us went... Mamo, Papa, Jerel, Steph, Chase, Aly, Ethan, Jacob, Stacy, Cyndi, Tobi, Sadie, Noah, Brigitte, Brett... hope I'm not missing anyone...

On our way to the pageant we drove by a retirement home near the temple. Chase said, "Is that the retirement home? Yes, yes, it is. Those aren't my favorite places... When I'm like 80, mom, and have to be in there, do me a favor, don't come visit - so depressing..." After telling him that his comments weren't exactly nice, I also said, "When you are 80... IF, I am around, I will be like 100 years old, I'm not sure that I will be getting around very well." Chase then proceeds... "Good point. OK, Aly, don't come and visit me OK..." To which Aly disgustingly responded, "Chase, when you are 80 something and in one of those places, I'm going to be ummm.... in my late 70's... heck, I won't have to visit, I'll be in there with you!" I cracked up!

THE MANY FACES OF ETHAN

OK, OK, OK, Stacy! I understand that the blog is boring w/o pictures! It only seems appropriate that some of the 1st pictures that I post are of my little Ethan! He is our little character...

ETHANISMS

OK... so I would like to start a little section that I would like to call 'ETHANISMS." This section, lovingly named after our youngest, Ethan, who is 4 will contain funny little episodial moments that have happened w/ someone in our family and Ethan. Things that I want to remember.

1st of all, it is important to understand that Ethan is a "yapper." He learned to talk early and he hasn't stopped since. Come to think of it, all of my kids have done that. Anyway, Ethan entertains us on so many different levels, but one of the most entertaining are the silly little comments that he will make out of nowhere - an "Ethanism."

For example:

1st Ethanism: Ethan was talking to his Dad last week and said, "Dad, Heavenly Father knows when we tell a lie. He just does." To which dad stated, "Yes, that's right, so you don't want to do it." To which Ethan responded, "And then, Heavenly Father writes a letter to Santa Claus to let him know, so watch out!"

2nd Ethanism: Ethan was talking to me 2 weeks ago on the way to his school field trip. Out of nowhere he asked, "Mom, do ants have tongues?" Not knowing for sure, I said, that I didn't know, but why did he ask? He said, "Because.... I was just sitting here thinking that if ants really do have tongues, they are probably REALLY little."

Stay tuned for more Ethanisms!
